Nanotechnology forum. Nitol Solar’s project fully complies with the governmental development concept
As part of the international nanotechnology forum in Moscow (Rusnanotech 2009), a poly-silicon and silicomethane production project was presented to the official government delegation headed by deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov and general director of the ROSNANO state corporation Anatoly Chubais. The large-scale project currently being implemented in Usolie-Sibirskoye was presented by Dmitry Kotenko, Nitol Solar CEO.
Mr. Kotenko emphasized the fact that investment support for the project was being provided by the government-owned Russian Nanotechnology Corporation and that the government of the Irkutsk Region was highly cooperative in the implementation of the project.
In his comments on Mr. Kotenko’s presentation, Mr. Ivanov stressed that helping the Irkutsk Region to develop high-tech rather than raw material-oriented industries was a top priority objective. Mr. Ivanov also noted the fast pace of the project and its social significance for the region as a whole.
It is for the second time that the Rusnanotech exhibition and forum have been held in Moscow, attracting a large audience of visitors interested in nanotechnologies. Nitol Solar’s booth enjoys special attention of both high tech experts and high ranking officials.
On the first day of the event, NITOL’s exposition was visited by: deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation Sergey Ivanov, head of state corporation RUSNANO Anatoly Chubais, chairperson of the Russian State Duma Boris Gryzlov, chairperson of the executive board of Sberbank of Russia German Gref.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev also participated in the forum; in his address, among other things, he defined energy efficiency and alternative sources of energy as the country's top priorities. ‘Our primary objective is to break away from dependence on natural resources and create a post-crisis economy based on know-how and innovative technologies rather than on oil and natural gas,’ concluded the President.
